I have been re-writing the draft rules for the BTBFF tournament. The good news is, everything fits on two pages, and I’ll have some important news on this shortly…

However, I’m still at a loss for a good way to do a C&R;scoring process for kayak and board fishermen (actually, solo boat fishermen are also a problem). If there are two people in a boat, the person not fighting the fish can do the measurement and photo. But what would make sense for board, ‘yak, or solo anglers?

Any suggestions?

The plastic measuring boards seemed to work out OK for the two kayakers. They were fine with just leaving in their laps while measuring the fish.

How about using the “measure nets”? You should be able to land the fish and take a picture fairly easily in a kayak. It won’t be an exact measurment, but it should be close enough.
