Looking for a 16-18 ft. center console fishing boat.  Whaler type hull is OK too.  With or without motor.  Prefer GOOD running outboard.

Craig, I think the best place to buy a boat, especially a used boat, is in Florida. They have many more boats for sale than we do and as a result they are better priced. There was a great web site a few years back that sold damaged Katrina boats. Meny of these had just minor cosmetic damage but the engine had been flooded.

Hey Hey Randy,

Thanks for the input.  You’re probably 100% correct on FLA being the spot to get a boat.  But, we’re on a limited budget ie: $6K and don’t have to time, $, nor inclination to fly back there, find a boat, do a sea trial, and haul or get the thing back here.  If we had $50K to spend, then it would be a different picture.

Cheers and let’s go fishin again.

Best,

Craig C.

Craig,

Peter Piconi is looking to sell his old boat, trailer and engine. He guided off it for years so its set up for fly fishing. I think its an 18 footer. E-mail him about it at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
