So how do I get a BTB hat so I can wear it in the upcoming years fishing pictures?

First I have to get them made…I’m going to get them embroidered this time, not like the OSJ hats…I’m going to get the OSJ hats redone in a more contemporary style, and also embroidered.

I do have some BTBFF T-Shirts and coffee mugs designed, I’m waiting to see what the samples look like.

I think hats are easier to deal with, because they’re pretty much “one size fits all” - so I could order 100 and not have to worry about size mix. But I’d like to get one that will actually be useful fishing (i.e. at least a dark underbrim).

John, when it comes time get me the graphics. You are speaking my area of expertise (I used to run an art dept for a clothing company)
I can prep files and get to digitizers / silk screeners etc…..

Sounds like things are in the works. We want to be sure to have the hats ebfore that first marlin is caught on a fly out here. That would make a good picture.

Thanks Matt, I’ll run some things by you shortly, see what you think. I had some shirts and mugs printed up using a company called Cafe’Press, which uses some sort of computer printing technology, and is willing to do items one-at-a-time (although at high prices, of course). I’ll post some pics for you guys to look at.

good. CafePress is okay for short run. I have a great digitizer who is a fisherman as well (no fly). I can get the DST (embroidery file) pretty cheap and we will have it permanently instead of being at the mercy of a particular vendor. I can color sep the images for both embroidery and silk screening.

oh and another note: if anyone ever needs large photographic prints (50"x 120” maximum), giclees, banners, etc….. contact me. It is what I do and I can get great prices as I’m kinda running the dpt

OK. Here are two shirts and two mugs…

The black shirt is only available with the image on the front. The ash and light-colored shirts have the small chest logo, and the image on the back. I also can have the BTB logo full-size across the chest and/or back…What do you think??

Cool. I’m ok with just the logo, sans image. Still it’s a winner.

OK, Thanks to Matt’s assistance, here are some mockups on hats. These are sandwich brim, unstructured 6 panel, low profile hats from Port & Co. Stitched eyelets, velcro adjustment, washed cotton twill. The color is black, with a white sandwich color.

What do you think? Which one do you like best (I can only afford to order one of these styles right now)...BTW, if you click on a picture to view a large image, grab one of the bottom corners with your mouse, and stretch out the window a bit to enlarge the image even more…

I like the second from the left. Nice color choice, not too busy.

I’m with Randy on that one as well

otherwise just put the logo on the front and then a single line of the title Beyond the Breakwater on side or back

I imagine that is extra though
