San Diego Area Fishing Bounces Back
San Diego Area Fishing Bounces Back
Sept. 24, 2007 - After the much-feared severe-cold-front-rain-storm failed to produce much rain (although we did have several waterspouts over the ocean), the fishing off San Diego has bounced back. Capt. Scott Leon (Paradigm Shift Charters) reported good fishing along the La Jolla kelp over the weekend, and board regular Randy Norris had some good luck in Mexican waters on the inner banks (see our Fishing Report Forum for more info).

LA, OC Fishing Slows
Sept. 22, 2007 - After a summer of productive fishing, Capt. Bryan Webb of Pacific Coast Fly Fishing called to report that local Orange County water temps had dropped 11 degrees literally overnight. Fishing has been correspondingly slow.
Some calico bass, short barracuda and bonito are still being taken, but fishing is nowhere near as good as it was around Labor Day.
