When fly anglers are working beyond the breakwater, it may be tempting to focus on the large, fast line burners such as tunas, yellowtail, and mako sharks. But the calico bass is a worthy opponent, befitting its status as one of the most targeted saltwater gamefish in this region. Within reach year-round, these powerful fish are certainly worthy of your attention, and are a lot of fun to boot.
