We saw the following posted on several bulletin boards. We don't think anyone will mind us posting it as well...

Greetings,
I really hate to be in this position, but Long Beach Casting Club needs your help. If you have visited our club in the past, you have seen our clubhouse and are aware of the historic photographs and other memorabilia that were inside. Our clubhouse burned on December 2 and suffered a great deal of damage. Although we had insurance, the cost of rebuilding and replacing the contents will be at least $50,000 more than our insurance coverage. We have a lot of fundraising to do.
We’ve asked all our members to donate both money and time. We are also going to have a raffle and auction, not just for our members but also for many others in the fishing community. Would you please consider making a donation to our rebuilding fund? Cash donations would allow us to restore the clubhouse most expeditiously, but we could also use items that can be raffled or auctioned: a book, DVD, flies or a fly plate, fishing trip, casting lesson, rod, reel, line or other equipment - anything that would appeal to fisher men and women?
Please send any donations to Carole Katz at 1801 Bridle Path, Santa Ana, CA 92705. You may contact her at (714) 731-6044 if you have any questions. For cash donations, please send to P.O. Box 90035, Long Beach, CA 90809. Long Beach Casting Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donation should be tax deductible.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Joe Libeu
